Welcome to avezz ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

We operate under the principles of Data Minimization: we only collect what is strictly necessary to run the platform.

Profile Information: You may choose to provide a Display Name, Bio, and Profile Picture. This information is public.
Marketplace Data: If you use the marketplace, you may provide details about items for sale.

2.2 User-Generated Content

Posts and Media: Photos, videos, comments, and posts you create are stored on our servers.
Visibility: By default, your content is public. However, you have the option to set your account or specific posts to private via your settings.

2.3 Automated Information (Technical Data)

IP Address: We collect your IP address for two specific purposes only:
1. Security: To detect and ban bots, spammers, or malicious actors.
2. Marketplace Convenience: To auto-fill your general location (e.g., City/State) when you create a listing. We do not track your real-time movements.
Cookies: We use "Session Cookies" strictly to keep you logged in and remember your interface preferences. We do not use cookies for advertising, third-party tracking, or analytics.

3. How We Use Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We do not trade your data with advertisers. We use your data solely for the following purposes:

To Provide the Service: To display your posts, manage your account, and facilitate marketplace listings.
The Algorithm: Our content recommendation system is simple. It uses your Likes and Dislikes to show you more of what you want to see. We do not build complex behavioral profiles or track your activity across other websites.
Safety and Security: To verify accounts and monitor for illegal activity (as defined in our Terms of Service).

We do not share your personal information with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers (Hosting): We use third-party cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., [AWS/Google Cloud/DigitalOcean]) to host the website and store data. They process data only on our instructions and are strictly prohibited from using it for their own purposes.
Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information (including IP address and email) if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or subpoena), particularly regarding criminal acts.

5. Security Measures

We take the security of your data seriously.

Encryption: Passwords are hashed and salted using industry-standard encryption before being stored in our database. We cannot see your password.
Transmission: All data transferred between you and avezz is encrypted via SSL/TLS (HTTPS).
Access Control: Access to server databases is strictly limited to authorized personnel for maintenance purposes only.

No matter where you live, avezz grants you the following rights:

Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: You can edit your profile information at any time through your settings.
Right to Deletion ("Right to be Forgotten"): You have the right to delete your account and all associated data. We provide a "Delete Account" button in your settings. Once initiated, your data is permanently removed from our active databases.
Right to Restrict Processing: You can adjust your privacy settings to control who sees your content.

7. Children’s Privacy

General Use: The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover a user is under 13, we will delete their account immediately.
Restricted Content: Sections of avezz containing adult content are strictly restricted to users aged 18+. Accessing these sections requires self-certification of age.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and content only for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted. We may retain basic log data (non-identifiable) for a short period for security auditing purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the avezz platform.
